A Chance to Play Telestrations at CHITAG

This year CHITAG, will be held at Navy Pier on November 19th and 20th and one lucky reader will have the chance to represent Look It's Megryansmom and play the game Telestrations with the inventor! The winner will receive a supply of USAopoly games. If you're interested, you must be available to be at Navy Pier on Sunday, November 20th at 2pm.

ABOUT THE GAME: Telestrations is the laugh-out-loud sketch, pass and guess party game by USAopoly where players simultaneously draw what they see, then guess what they saw to reveal outcomes that are hilarious and unpredictable. In essence, it’s the telephone game sketched out!

WHAT’S DIFFERENT: Everyone plays at the same time, it’s multi-generational, interactive and engaging. It’s light-hearted and provides instant fun and laughter. Telestrations is simple to learn and play. It’s a great icebreaker and perfect for game night.
 
BASICS: In this fun and modern twist on the classic “telephone game,” everyone plays at the same time. Each player gets their own erasable sketch book, dry-erase marker and word card. A roll of the die determines each player’s secret starting word. The timer gets turned and everyone draws their word. After 60 seconds, everyone passes their book to the player on their left. Then each player takes a few seconds to guess what they see, write it down, and passes again. The timer is turned and everyone draws what they see. This play continues until everyone’s sketch book passes by every player and returns back to its original owner, at which point it’s time to see what happened to each secret word. Points can be scored if the last guess matches the secret word, and for favorite sketch and written guess in each book. Just like the game of “telephone”, the outcomes are unpredictable and the laughter is inevitable.

BRAGGING RIGHTS: If you didn’t already have a feeling this game was fun, Telestrations has racked up a few awards over the years to prove so, including Games Magazine “Best New Party Game 2011”, BoardGameGeek.com’s 2010 Golden Geek Award for “Party Game of the Year” and Dr. Toy’s “10 Best Games” of 2011. Among others, Telestrations was also named “Top 10 Cool Games” by the Chicago Tribune and “Best New Family-Friendly Games” by Real Simple Magazine.
